WHEN YOUR KIDS ARE ABLE TO FEED THEMSELVES!
I realized when my son became a teenager that he did not know how to cook a meal from start to finish. Sure, he could cook an egg! And an egg goes a long way.
In fact that is our very first lesson. But I wanted him to be confident enough in the kitchen to prepare a meal (including sides!) that he can feed himself and any friends who stop by.
If there is anything I have learned about parenting teenagers, it is that food is a gathering tool. After one fifteen-minute cooking lesson, my boys (ages 10 and 13 at the time) were able to make a meal from start to finish. We started small. But, that's all it takes!
We will start with easy techniques so your kids can begin building confidence in the kitchen.
